Railroad homes for sale are few and far between. Railroad Borough is a small unincorporated area in southern York County. Railroad Borough is located in Southern York School District, and Railroad Borough students attend Shrewsbury Elementary, Southern York Middle School, and Susquehannock High School. The borough got its name from the Northern Central Railway which was built to connect Baltimore, Maryland and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Railroad Borough Historic District is a national historic district including more than 40 railroad depot buildings built between 1840 and 1920. Railroad Borough still maintains the look and feel of a 19th century rail depot community. The majority of the area within Railroad Borough limits however, is rolling, open farmland.
