Franklintown Real Estate

Franklintown homes include multi-family units, single family homes and starter homes. Many of the homes for sale in downtown Franklintown were built in the early 1900s. Franklintown was named after none other than Benjamin Franklin. In the early 1920's, Franklintown had a large number of businesses. There were cigar, wagon wheel, coffin and hat factories; as well as many privately owned stores, garages and taverns. But around the 1950's, Franklintown started losing businesses. Only a few privately owned stores and garages remain. Students in Franklintown are served by the Northern York School District.
