Bulldogs wag their tails proudly in this 21 sq mile suburban district which serves West York Borough and West Manchester Township. The district operates six schools in total with a population around 3,000 students. Loucks Elementary and Wallace Elementary service students in Kindergarten and 1st grade. Students then move on to Lincolnway or Trimmer Elementary for 2nd-5th grade, followed by West York Middle School and West York High School which share a large campus on Bannister Street near the York Fairgrounds. The high school offers students the opportunity to get a head start on college by participating in the Dual Enrollment program. This is a state program to earn college credits at a reduced rate while at the same time meeting graduation requirements. The West York district is also very proud of their extra-curricular activities and in 2012 was honored when Coach Roger Czerwinski was named 2012 Pennsylvania Baseball Coach of the Year.
